My dentist's attempt at temporarily reglueing it only lasted 24 hrs. I will be getting a crown in 2-3 weeks to replace it (due to the cost). Is there something I can use to reglue it everytime it falls off until then?
Answer: Fixodent may provide a temporary solution... I would suggest using Fixodent to provide a temporary solution. You would need to avoid using your front tooth to chew or bite foods. There is also a Fixodent plus. This solution would only be for temporary cosmetic reasons and not functional reasons. Good luck and I hope this helps. Answer: Porcelain Veneers: Broke in half To the best of my knowledge, there are no home solutions that I can recommend to re-cement your broken veneer. I strongly advise against using any type of glue on your own, as this may prove counter-productive when the time comes to remove the veneer and install your crown. Best of luck.James Asaf, DDS

Answer: Chipped veneer repair. A temporary fix would be to bond the parts together using Vertise by Kerr (a resin composite that can bond to porcelain with out the need for hydroflouric acid etching) and then shortening the tooth out of occlusion. Again this is temporary, but should easily last 2 weeks assuming your not eating apples and corn on the cob. I agree with using e.max, its one if the best materials on the market today.

Answer: Can I repair my veneer that has broken in half? It is very unlikely that you will be able to do any treatment on your own to successfully "glue" the broken piece of veneer back onto the remaining tooth and broken veneer. And definitely, forget Crazy Glue, a mistake made by many patients. It wouldn't work, and you might even glue your fingers to your lips.Highly advise you return to your dentist to get his professional assistance in solving your problem. That being said, it is also unlikely, based on the photo you have sent, that he will be able to successfully bond the broken piece back either. It might last a short time (days or weeks), but extremely unlikely that it will last months or years. My advice, don't waste your time and money for something that will be very short lived and get it done right. That of course means having your dentist fabricate a new porcelain veneer for you. Suggestion, there are some very strong porcelains available today that should last a long time. My favorite is a porcelain called EMax. Ask your dentist what kind of porcelain he used on the one that broke on you. My guess is that was one of the older, weaker porcelains, called feldspathic porcelain. Good luck...hope you solve your problem soon. Embarrasing and not fun walking around with a broken front tooth.

Answer: Glue Chipped Tooth Is it a veneer that has chipped? I have successfully rebonded pieces back on lasting up to one year. If the piece was cemented then it probably will not hold. Ask the dentist to bond the fragment into place to hold as a temporoary until you can get into to have the veneer or crown replaced. Good luck.It may be better just to get in for the procedure ASAP becasue bonding does take time. May be better and quicker to just get the tooth fixed.
