Always a great experience with Dr. Asaf and his friendly staff. After my last pregnancy I needed a crown. I am very picky about my teeth and was nervous initially about what it would look like. He matched it perfectly!!! You can’t even tell I had it done. He is very talented.
I love my new smile. My mother referred me to Dr. Asaf for porcelain veneers. She had hers put in over 10 years ago, and they still look like day 1. I considered getting them done by my dentist in West Hollywood, but he's pretty fresh out of school... (or he looks like it anyway:) I do fitness fitness modelling and competitions and even though my teeth were pretty nice to begin with, I wanted them perfect - and really REALLY white. I had braces in the past and do teeth whitening every few months, so I'm definitely glad I won't have to keep up with my whitening routine. I was told veneers do not stain or fade. Thats just what I wanted. The shape was not what i wanted at first, but the doc told me to trust his judgement and I'm glad I did. I showed him some photos of models with teeth I liked, but he told me based on my facial structure, I should go with something more natural and not so big and bulky. I really love the shape and no one can tell I got them done unless I tell them. Regarding the color - this is where I went against the docs recoomendations. He wanted a slightly more natural color, but I insisted on the whitest shade possible since I really love that white look that lights up a room. In the end I compromised a little, allowing him to put a touch of color on the teeth but not much -they are pretty darn white. Really happy with the whole process and I would consider going to Dr. Asaf for all my dental needs, if it were not for the fact he's in the valley. He was able to see me on a couple sundays as well, which was cool (no traffic :) Price and quality were great and I highly highly recomend them. Beautiful office and staff were fine.
Porcelain veneers require an experienced cosmetic dentist working closely in conjunction with a cosmetic lab. The cost of veneers (to the dentist) is close to $400. Groupon receives a sizable portion of that. Therefore, I wonder about the quality of the veneer, and the experience of both the dentist, and the lab.Best of luck.James Asaf, DDS
In my experience, having performed hundreds of Zoom Whitening procedures, the majority of patients cite no more than mild discomfort subsequent to treatment. Occasionally, we will have a patient whose teeth are generally sensitive. In such cases, we administer Tylenol or Motrin prior to treatment, and after.Best of luck.James Asaf, DDS
Zoom is recognized as an the industry leader in dental whitening, and for good reason. The materials and process are recognized as safe. Zoom has been administered extensively over millions of times with no indication of direct causation of disease or permanent damage to soft and hard tissues. This being said, anything is theoretically possible. I wish your husband a full and speedy recovery.James Asaf, DDS
As long as you don't grind your teeth and chew rocks periodically, your porcelain veneers have the potential to look as good as they did on day 1... 10 years, 20, or even more years out. Use common sense and you should be fine.Best of luck.James Asaf, DDS
I would strongly suggest correcting the alignment of your teeth prior to exploring the option of veneers. You are clearly self conscious, and straightening them will instantly improve your smile.Best of luck.James Asaf, DDS
