Hello,Typically, there would not continue to be an issue of swelling after two weeks with dermal filler injections to the cheek/eye area. It would also appear that the photo shows pinkness as well. We suggest you return to your injector to have them evaluate the area to determine if this is an issue of having too much filler/bumps/lumps or if there is inflammation in the area causing your symptoms.Regards.
I suggest you be seen by your Doctor and address your concerns. Generally speaking, it takes few weeks for product to settle. However, if you want to dissolve it - it can be dissolved with hyaluronidase.
I'm sorry to hear about this extra swelling/lump. Vycross technology found in Juvederm draws water and therefore increases swelling. I prefer Restylane and Refyne/Defyne in the tear trough for this reason. I suggest you see your injector for a diagnosis and see if they feel hyaluronidase is appropriate.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO
I would definitely go see your injector for a follow up. Swelling usually goes down after a few days post injection. If this product was indeed Juvederm hyaluronidase will dissolve the product within 24-48hours.
Dear Bt34,Juvederm has significant swelling post injection. I would follow up with you plastic surgeon but typically I tell all my patients to wait a full two weeks. Generally at 2 weeks they are happy and glad they didn't dissolve. Dissolving is unpredictable as well.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. At two weeks, you should have your final results with Juvederm. I recommend following up with your injector for a formal evaluation. If this is filler, this can be reversed with hyaluronidase and you can try a different technique next time. I recommend injections with cannulas to limit swelling. Swelling can be improved with venus legacy treatments. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Hyaluronidase will do a very good job of dissolving Juvederm. Since it's only been 2 weeks since your treatment I would be hesitant to do that yet. Some people do get persistent swelling just from absorption of water which will resolve spontaneously. I would be inclined to wait a few more weeks before using the hyaluronidase. The hyaluronidase will dissolve all the Juvederm and you will basically have to start over.
Your filler should be pretty much gone after two weeks. I would follow up with your injecting physician to discuss possibly removing that area of filler if it continues to cause issue. Good luck with your transformation.
Hello it's next to impossible to ascertain the etiology of your concern based on a static photo. I would urge you to see your injector as soon as possible
All fillers last a long time in the undereye area because it is not a highly dynamic area. Currently, the best fillers for that area are Volbella®/Restylane®Silk/Belotero®. Please consult a board certified aesthetic dermatologist for a consultation.
Sorry to see that your first experience with lip fillers has been challenging. Rest assured that injection induced bruises heal completely on their own with time. However, there are many things that can be done to heal them faster. 1. Use warm compresses- 3-5 minutes 3-5 times per day...
