Hello, redness and fever needs to be evaluated by your surgeon immediately could be signs of a possible infection and may need to start taking antibiotics. I suggest contacting your plastic surgeon or nurses as soon as possible or if you can be seen before Wednesday. Best of luck!
Sorry to hear you are experiencing fever. I recommend you contact you're surgeon today and not wait till Wednesday to get treated. You need to have a thorough check up to evaluate you're problem and administer antibiotics. Good Luck
The red spot does not look like anything to be concerned about considering you are just 1 week out of surgery. You should ask your plastic surgeon about it at your follow-up visit.
Thank you for your questions. Whenever there is redness and low grade fever after a surgery, I recommend following up with your surgeon and being seen. Best of luck to you.
It is very difficult to tell based on your picture, but I do not see anything too concerning. Also I would not worry unless your temperature was >101F. It's always best to call your plastic surgeon and be seen earlier if there is any concern though, because an in person exam is much more informative than a photograph. Best of luck.Emile Brown, MDBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon, Johns Hopkins & Harvard Trained
After a tummy tuck scabbing, redness, swelling and bruising is to be expected. To minimize post operative complications, it is always best to follow your surgeons instructions.
Hello,From the photo, this looks okay. But you are best to keep your follow-up with your surgeon as he/she can evaluate it in person. All the best in your recovery!Dr. BlaggAustin, TX
Thank you for sharing your question and photograph. It appears that this is scabbing and bruising but any spreading redness needs to be evaluated by your surgeon to ensure your safety. Hope this helps.
It's not possible to give a definitive recommendation with the limited photo. It is not typical to have a fever for a week after surgery. I encourage you to speak with your surgeon's office about your symptoms and see if you can be seen earlier.
Thank you for your question and photos. Redness in the presence of fever should be evaluated by your surgeon right away. If an infection is starting, it is best to get on proper antibiotics as soon as possible. I recommend you call your surgeon today and do not wait until your appointment. Good luck.
Hello. Great question. Congratulations on your procedure. I am sorry for your post op difficulties. A suture is needed to maintain your drain in place. Please follow up with your surgeon.
