I think my belly button is shrinking. Is there hope for it to look normal? (Photo)

I’m a month post op TT and i feel as if my belly button keeps shrinking. I’m scared it’s going to close. A marble won’t fit in there to do the marble trick. My next post op appointment isn’t until the 31st. Is there hope for it to look normal?!

Hello,I recommend contacting your surgeon's office for any recommendations even though your appointment is a few weeks out. If a marble won't fit, you can use other things, such as gauze to keep more space in the region but, again, I recommend running this by your surgeon. All the best in your recovery,Dr. BlaggAustin, TX

Dear kayliebre09,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a tummy tuck surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. At one month post op you are still experiencing swelling and are not yet seeing your final result.  If you have a few weeks prior to your scheduled follow up you may want to call the office to discuss your concerns.  They should be able to advise you based on your surgeon's protocol.
