Does an NSAID allergy that I've been desensitized from since 2014 disqualify me from fillers?

Question

Around the year 2000, I was diagnosed with Sampter's Triad. Not knowing this I was taking Advil regularly. 2 times I took those Advil Liquagels and both times within and hour I had severe asthma reaction and ended up needing to call an ambulance because I couldn't breathe. I'm assuming this is considered an anaphylactic emergency. About 2014 I underwent desensitization. Have not had problem since. Does this disqualify me for being able to use fillers? 1 place I went refused me fillers.

There is no reason that you cannot have filler injections. Even with an allergy to NSAIDS there is no cross reactivity.  However, if it a little sore after the injection, you would be limited to the use of Tylenol.

You could have injectable filler treatment with a NSAID allergy.  NSAIDs are not a component of fillers, so there should not be any problem.

An NSAID allergy will not disqualify you from having fillers.  Be sure to see a board certified plastic surgeon for your treatment and discuss any medications you take, including supplements.

You should not have any issues with your condition while receiving a dermal filler. You need to go to a plastic surgeon and not a "place" where they do injections. This way you will be safe in receiving such a treatment. Good luck from New York City plastic surgery

Hi meow70,Sensitivity to Aspirin should not have any effect to filler injections, especially Hyaluronic Acid based injection.
