Hair transplant in two sessions, over 8000 grafts. Is it better to do it in one session or two?

8000 grafts seems like an excessively high number for one procedure, unless 2, 3 and 4-hair grafts are being counted as 2, 3 and 4 grafts.  I typically don't try for more than 3600 in one day, and then only in those with very dense donor sites getting an FUT (strip) procedure.  For FUE, 2400/day or 2800 over two days is reasonable.

There are less than 100 full-time hair restoration surgeons in the USA. I do not know any that would even think about doing 8,000  grafts in one session or even in two sessions. In general you can obtain 3,000 follicular units from the safe donor area with FUT and about 1,600 to 1,800 follicular units with FUE from the safe donor area in one procedure. My advice, continue to do your research and find a reputable, full time hair transplant surgeon to help meet your needs and avoid a bad hair transplant result.
