It can take 6 to 12 months after surgery to see results.  If you are concerned it is best to contact your doctor.

It is much too early to judge your result. Early growth has just started at the 3 month mark. At 6 months you will be at only about 50% growth, at 12 months you will be at roughly 90% growth. Remain patient and continue to follow your doctors post op care instructions.

After a hair transplant, it is expected that the trasplanted hairs will shed, the recipent site will rest, then new growth will occur. Although some see regrowth at 4.5 to 5 months, the real growth occurs between 6-12 months. I have even seen improvement between months 12-18.  So, give it time. The next few months should be really enjoyable for you as the hair should come in thicker and thicker. 

You cannot make any conclusions on what your final results will be at 5 1/2 months after surgery.  It takes a good 8-12 months to get full growth and density.  Your results should improve dramatically over the next six months.

I always tell my patients that they can expect 80% of the growth in 8 months and 95% in one year. You must be patient
