That's likely the cartilages you are manipulating until they pop out a little.  I'm not quite sure if I've heard of this before so perhaps an in person visit to a plastic surgeon very familiar with noses is likely the best thing you can do.  Best Wishes!!

You should be able to safely combine these surgeries with minimal to no risk of jeopardizing either one!
