Hello surgeons, I lost a ton of weight a few years ago. Looking to get an extended TT, possible mons lift, breast lift & aug, labiaplasty (just a trim), and a butt lift (no fat injection). Can I get these procedures safely in two surgeries? If so, can I get a TT, breast lift/aug, and mons in one surgery and then butt lift (no fat transfer) and labiaplasty in the second? Or, better yet, TT/breasts/mons/labia 1st surgery and butt lift second surgery? Or is all that too unsafe?
Answer: First TT-mons lift, breast lift/aug and possibly labiaplasty, then but lift Hi, thanks for your question. TT, mons lift and breast lift/aug are the most common operations that we perform together. But of course it’s depends on your current body sizes and your overall health. If you’re not an overweight person and you have a good health it would be good idea to divide your surgeries in to sessions.

Answer: Multiple Procedure- Combination surgery Mommy makeovers involve various combinations of procedures to improve the breasts, abdomen, hips, back, arms, legs, buttocks, etc, after childbirth. Combination procedures are safe and very effective in the right hands. The surgeon HAS to be an expert in EACH procedure and must have a lot of experience in performing combination procedures, and can minimize the operative time. For example, we work in a team and would take around 4-5 hours for the complete operation. This allows us to get better results with less surgical time and less trauma. Our patients are typically walking the same day and tapering off of pain medications by 4-5 days. Within a week, our international patients are generally touring around Cartagena, enjoying the sites of this UNESCO World Heritage City. Patients progress to unrestricted activities by 2 months, just as the final results are settling in. Combination procedures can give powerful results, but SAFETY is KEY. You definitely have to choose your surgeon correctly and make sure that he/she has the training and experience to meet your goals with absolute safety. Don’t settle for less than a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with specialized expertise in this procedure.

Answer: Combining procedures Combining procedures is common and considered safe within limits. An exam is needed to know for sure but you may be able to have a breast lift and augmentation combined with a circumferential tummy tuck. This type of tummy tuck could potentially incorporate a mons lift and lift the buttocks. You may be able to have a labiaplasty done in an office surgical procedure separately. Visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you for an evaluation to learn what is recommended for you.

Answer: Can I Safely Combine Tummy Tuck, Breast Lift, Labiaplasty & Butt Lift in Two Surgeries? Congratulations on your weight loss! It’s very common after major weight loss to need multiple procedures, and yes, it’s absolutely possible to safely split your surgical plan into two stages.Based on what you’ve listed, a safe and efficient approach would be: First Surgery: Extended tummy tuck, Breast lift with augmentation, Mons lift and Labiaplasty (trim) Second Surgery: Buttock lift (without fat transfer) This sequence makes sense as the first stage focuses on the **front of the body**, combining areas that often heal well together. Labiaplasty adds minimal surgical stress and can be safely included. The second surgery focuses on the **posterior**, allowing you to heal fully from the tummy tuck before lying on your back again comfortably. As always, **your overall health, BMI, and lab results** will help determine the safest plan. A thorough consultation is advised in helping you finalize the best and safest combination for you. Best wishes, Erman AK, MD. Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeon

Answer: How to plan multiple procedures Decision about how many procedures can be safely done in one surgery depends on multiple factors like patient general health, surgeon’s experience and skill, facility, team, and many others. It is patient and surgeon who need to make this decision with some flexibility. Safety has priority above anything. Providing that above mentioned conditions are favorable it is quite reasonable to perform desired procedures in two separate surgeries. Good luck.
