Susan. I appreciate your concern, but it is still much too early to worry about redundant skin. It takes at least 4 to 6 months for all swelling to resolve and skin retraction to occur. Try to stay patient, continue wearing your elastic garment and keep in touch with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck.
I recommend following up with your Doctor about their protocol for post op care regarding skin tightening. I have my patients wear compression for 3-6 weeks straight then overnight for 3-6 months after their procedure. I also recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening (this is vital for optimal skin tightening), cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. Best, Dr. Emer

Without seeing a photo and knowing how loose the skin was before and how much fat was removed, it’s impossible to say whether it will tighten enough on its own for you to be happy with it. Continue wearing compression, and discuss this with your surgeon at your next appointment. Good luck
Thank you for the question. Generally speaking, it takes several months to determine if the skin will tighten up after liposuction. At this point, it is more watchful waiting to see what will happen. Best of luck during your continued recovery period.
If the area is firm, it may very well take more time to resolve. It may be an area where the fat cells did not heal well. If it's ordinary fat, liposuction or direct fat thinning can be done in the office. Unfortunately, your photo really does not show the issue.
Thank you for asking about your liposuction recovery.Your own surgeon is the best person to advise you -This kind of burn pain is usually seen after head-based liposuction (Smart Lipo, Vaser) and is from damaged nerve endings. The best approach however is to try non-addictive medicines such as...
It is too soon to tell what your final results will be, this is normal. You have swelling, which can last 3-6 months after your procedure. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression garment (if applicable) to help decrease swelling. To improve your ...
