It takes at least 4 to 6 months for all swelling to resolve and skin retraction to occur. Try to stay patient, continue wearing your elastic garment and keep in touch with your plastic surgeon. Answer: Post Op Lipo Care for Optimal Results I recommend following up with your Doctor about their protocol for post op care regarding skin tightening. I have my patients wear compression for 3-6 weeks straight then overnight for 3-6 months after their procedure. I also recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening (this is vital for optimal skin tightening), cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance.
