Have a raised scar tissue bump on the right side of the penis after a circumcision in my early teens. Looking for procedures/products to flatten out and improve appearance from least to most invasive and by price.
Answer: Raised scar Raised scar tissue, also known as a keloid, can develop after any type of surgery, including circumcision. While they are more common in people with darker skin tones, they can occur in anyone. Potential Treatment Options Observation: In some cases, the scar may flatten on its own over time. Corticosteroid Injections: These injections can help reduce inflammation and soften the scar tissue. Surgical Excision: If the keloid is large or bothersome, it can be surgically removed. However, there's a risk of it returning. Laser Therapy: Certain types of lasers can help to flatten and improve the appearance of keloids. Pressure Therapy: Applying pressure to the scar with a silicone gel sheet can help reduce its size and elevation. It's important to consult with a dermatologist or plastic surgeon to determine the best treatment option for you. They can assess the size, shape, and severity of the scar and recommend the most appropriate approach.

Answer: Penile scar Hi Dex, I recommend you see a board-certified dermatologist, who can discuss all of your treatment options with you. We’ve come a long way in terms of technology and treatment options. That said, you may benefit most from intralesional steroid injections +/- focal resurfacing laser treatments. Hope this helps! Answer: Penis bump improvement Circumcision can leave a scar which can lead to tethering of the penis as well as other issues. Sometimes lasers can help improve the texture of this area but treatment of choice is to typically use filler around the area to improve the tethering. The cannula we use for penile injections releases the tether points and can create a much smoother appearance in many cases. Best of luck

Answer: Circumcision Scars Treating these scars is relatively straightforward. I would suggest a combination of intralesional injections, lasers, and surgical scar revision. Soften the scar with Plato's scar serum twice daily to help reduce scar tissue. Best, DR. Karamanoukian Realself100

Answer: Raised circumcision scar? Englewood Cliffs NJ There are two aspects to your scar, the elevated portion and the skin changes. The raised part can be lowered with Steroid or 5 FU injection. Ablative CO2 laser can be utilized. The skin color, texture and pore characteristics are different and difficult to improve. Total excision of the scar is a possibility, however one would need to perform post operative scar treatment to control the scar and prevent a recurrence. This is the most risky and invasive.
