Hysterectomy and tummy tuck 4 days later

Question

I am having a full laparoscopic hysterectomy this week, uterus and cervix due to excessive bleeding, pain and possible endometriosis that I have endured my entire life. 4 days after this I am booked to have a tummy tuck. my plastic surgeon said this will be ok? the tummy tuck was scheduled last minute as I wanted to combine my recovery time. Im now worried that the tummy tuck should either be done as the same time or a few months later? please let me know your opinion.

I think it would be better to either do the two together, or, even better, several months apart. Doing the tummy tuck 4 days after means your abdomen and umbilicus will be swollen and may make this problematic.

Personally I do not offer this combination in such a short timeframe. Best to leave things a minimum of 6-12 months after recovering from the hysterectomy before the TT.

I am not a fan of combined hysterectomy and abdominoplasty at the same operation. I feel it increases the risk of infection and deep venous thrombosis. Staging the abdominoplasty 4 days later does decrease this risk but not as much as it would if the abdominoplasty was done months later.
