Hello and thank you for your question. You can still have the procedure, but in my experience, patients with autoimmune diseases tend to lose the product faster. You may want to keep that in mind.
Hi and thanks for your question. Yes, you can have lip fillers if you have eczema and autoimmune allergies. Lip augmentation with dermal fillers is an excellent way to fix asymmetries, change the shape, and / or add volume to your lips while maintaining a natural appearance. I prefer to use Juvederm Ultra or Vollure in the lips. These fillers are made from hyaluronic acid (a naturally occurring substance found in the body that binds water), are safe, and can be reversed if needed. Juvederm Ultra lasts anywhere from 6-12 months, and Vollure can last up to 18 months. You may require anywhere from 1/2 a syringe to a full syringe to meet your desired outcome (it really depends on how great the asymmetry is and how much additional volume is desired). If you find that you want a fuller lip after your initial session of injecting, you can always return to add more 2-4 weeks later. Go slow until you meet your goal to allow for the most natural appearance and for the filler to integrate and settle into your lip tissue. The most common side effects for lip augmentation with dermal fillers are bruising and swelling. To minimize potential bruising and welling, try to avoid blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, alcohol) for 5-7 days prior to your procedure.
Yes, you should be able to get lip fillers. These lip fillers (Volbella, Restylane, Juvederm) are good for creating a symmetrical and full lip. Nova threads can be used to improve lift and shape. Implants or fat are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert to go over your desired results. Best, Dr. Emer
Based on my experience there are certain autoimmune disorders that may flare with filler injections however, eczema has not been reported to be one of them. In the experienced hands and with proper patient selection, fillers are generally well tolerated. I recommend to have a clinical examination prior to any filler injection by your local provider.
There are some autoimmune disorders where fillers may not be indicated like scleroderma however excess and general autoimmune disorders will not affect your ability to have fillers.
Thank you for your question. I believe you will benefit nicely with hyaluronic acid fillers like Juvederm and Restylane to help improve the symmetry of your lips. Results typically last 6-12 months and the filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if you are unhappy with the results. I...
Most doctors will start with one-syringe to avoid overfilling. These fillers, (Volbella, Restylane, Juvederm) are good to create a symmetrical and full lip. PDO NovaThreads can also be used to improve shape and also provide lift. Fat or implants are a permanent alternative. I recommend getting a...
