Is laser lipo and Bodytite basically the same thing???

Both Smart Lipo (laser) and Vaser (ultrasound) liposuction will tighten skin in addition to removing stubborn fat. Of course every patients particular case and response may differ.Body Tite uses radio frequency for similar effect, in my opinion, is not revolutionary. Another radio frequency for skin tightening is Thermi.These are more tools for the experienced plastic surgeon. Personally, I routinely use Vaser and/or Smart Lipo for best results.An exam and consultation with a plastic surgeon who performs these procedures is recommended to confirm you are a candidate as well as discuss your options and expectations. 

Thank you for your excellent question. It is true that all forms of liposuction will result in some degree of skin tightening. Standard forms of liposuction will tighten the skin by about 7% after one year. Laser liposuction has been shown to tighten the skin by about 15% and BodyTite has demonstrated skin tightening of approximately 30% after one year. This is the best skin tightening device I have found to date. On a side note, we have not seen significant skin tightening with any of the devices if extensive stretch marks are present.
