Hello, I am a 40 year old non smoker, bmi 24, after having three children and losing 50 pounds. I am looking to have a mommy makeover, with saline implants potentially AB etching, and an arm lift because even with all the weight training I am doing the bat wings won’t go away nor will the “pouch”. Can you advise the order with which you would recommend undergoing these surgeries with a concern for: 1. Safety and recuperation 2. Optimize my results 3. Minimize number of times under anesthesia.
Answer: MMO in stages MMO is frequently very different set of procedures that is aimed to reconstruct/reshape body after multiple pregnancies, weigh loss, etc. It usually includes breast lift with or without implant augmentation, liposuction, TT, arm lift, BBL. Depending of clinical presentation and patient goals, these surgeries can be done in groups, usually TT, B lift, augmentation, sometimes arm lift, can be done in a single surgery, depending of patient health status and extent of every surgery ( limit of 6 hours per one surgery is usually applied). In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon would be the best way to discuss this issue and how to approach it. Good luck.

Answer: Surgery Start with the procedure that you want most. The arms could be combined with the breast surgery. If the abdomen is added, the surgery time could be long, and you may need an overnight stay. Go in for consultation. You might be a candidate for liposuction with minimally invasive radiofrequency skin tightening as well.

Answer: Combined Procedures with an Arm Liftarm lift arm reduction brachioplasty arm lift expert brachioplasty arm lipo skinny arm Thank you for your question regarding which procedures can be safely coupled with an arm lift. You have stated that you would wish to undergo a mommy makeover with breast implants, ab etching, and an arm lift or Brachioplasty. If you're healthy, you could undergo those procedures all at once. This would depend on your blood work, EKG, chest X-Ray, and analysis. A thigh lift is the only procedure I would suggest you do not have with an arm lift. The recovery is too difficult to combine all extremities during one surgery. Also, another complicated surgery can be combining the arm lift with the tummy tuck or 360 circumferential lower body lift. Combining these procedures with the arm lift makes changing dressing and taking care of daily activities difficult. Thank you for your question regarding what procedures can be coupled with an arm lift. I specialize in arm lifts. I hope that I have answered your questions regarding the arm reduction. If you have any more questions regarding the arm lift, arm reduction, brachioplasty or arm crease fat grafting, please contact my office. Since a brachioplasty or arm lift surgery is a difficult procedure, please seek an experienced, board certified plastic surgeon with significant experience performing these types of arm lifts. Do your research. Make sure your chosen plastic surgeon has performed at least 100 arm lifts. Make sure they have the before and after pictures to prove it. Carefully examine their before and after pictures and check their reviews on RealSelf. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen. Answer: Combining Surgeries This is a good question and a common one. Patients often want to combine all surgeries into one so they don't have to go through the recovery and cost more than once, whereas sometimes that is the right approach and sometimes it's not. The guidelines really hinge on the surgical candidacy of the patient (ie, no higher risks due to medical history), whether the surgeon can safely and effectively perform the entire procedure under 4-6 hours of operative time, and any other factors that impact a patient's risk versus reward of having their combined procedure. Reading into your brief background, these procedures could tentatively all be performed together, though each patient, surgeon, and facility is unique and would require a thorough plan for safety in the preoperative consultation.

Answer: Combining procedures Combining procedures is common and considered safe, but there is a limit. Typically surgeons will limit surgical time for elective procedures to six hours. You may be able to combine an arm lift with a tummy tuck in the same day. An exam by a board certified plastic surgeon is needed to let you know for sure.
