I have scar tissue inside both of my nostrils where the incisions were. My doctor said that he can remove the scar tissue, but that the scar tissue might come back. What can I do to prevent the scar tissue from coming back? Can I use silicone scar sheets inside my nostrils?

Believe it or not, blackheads in thick oily nasal skin can cause nasal tip swelling to be persistent. As long as there was no pain removing the blackheads, I doubt you did any damage. Thank you for your question, and I wish you a happy recovery. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph
It's so common that I did exactly that during today's rhinoplasty! Our patient had a wide nasal appearance and her bridge was an adequate height. Nasal narrowing was achieved with both medial and lateral osteotomies. Thank you for your question. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph
