Hey so I wanted to know if you had a rhinoplasty and if you were to get pregnant even with a rhinoplasty wold you still get the "pregnant nose" where the nose appears bigger during pregnancy
Answer: Rhinoplasty and water retention Hi @kayla1236! This is an excellent question. Generalized water retention during pregnancy is common and to some degree can affect the appearance of the nose. However, this swelling is not permanent. Best of luck!

Answer: Pregnancy nose Hello! Thank you for this interesting question! After a rhinoplasty surgery you will have swelling (that can last around 6 months up to 1 year). After all the swelling goes down, your final result settle usually 1 year post-op.Anyway, what we call ''pregnancy nose'' is mostly due to the swelling during pregnancy (same as your hands and feet can be very swollen during pregnancy). But after giving birth, when all the swelling disappear, your body heals and your nose will be again same as before pregnancy. Best regards!

Answer: Fluid retention in the nose Thank you for your question. Water retention in the body inevitably affects also to some degree the appearance of the nose. It also affects the appearance of the face which leads to a different interpretation of the nasal shape. Water retention during pregnancy is very common and it is likely to affect mothers that had rhinoplasty in relatively similar way as mothers that have a natural nose. If the nose is more defined, slightly smaller or more upturned, it tends to generate a different perception even in the presence of the swelling.

Answer: Pregnancy Nose Hi Kayla! It's possible that you'll still experience swelling associated with pregnancy. It may not be as dramatic depending on the strength / integrity of the rhinoplasty result. Much of the swelling woman get is related to hormone fluctuations and genetics which is often out of your control. Nightly taping may help if swelling is significant. Keeping a low salt diet is useful, too. Hope this helps!

Answer: Nose changes in pregnancy Due to generalized swelling in the late months of pregnancy, there may be some swelling and change of the nose. Rhinoplasty will not change that. In most cases that is negligiable and should not be the reason to delay rhinoplasty. Hope this helps.
