Ethnic Rhinoplasty Recovery - excessive swelling and nostril holes too prominent after 1 year

Question

I am an Indian female, 36 yo. I had my rhinoplasty/septoplasty done by aHarvard trained plastic surgeon based on NYC in Feb 2022. During my consultation, I had mentioned to my surgeon that I was overall happy with my nose. The major concerns I had were hanging columella, bulbous tip and nostrils that showed more that I liked. It has been 1 year since surgery and I am finding that my nose looks very large and my nostrils are becoming more prominent. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

Hello! Thank you for your question.From the photos you provided it looks like your nostrils are uneven and showing too much. Anyway the nasal sidewall looks good.Best regards!

In our experience, microdroplet Silikon-1000 May be an excellent alternative to revision rhinoplasty for achieving nostril lowering and improved nostril symmetry. Treatments are performed with topical anesthetic and there is typically no downtime. Hope this helps! Dr Joseph

Overall you have a nice result with one exception. You have what is called a hanging columella which makes the nostrils show too much. A very common problem that is easy to fix. In less than an hour with closed rhinoplasty.  This is something I often see with open rhinoplasty if you had it done that way
