I had Liposonix seven weeks ago on my flanks. I have never been over weight and I exercise regularly. I just have a little bulge around the flank area I've wanted reduced. I have not seen results from the procedure to date .
Answer: Liposonix Results Liposonix is a safe treatment that uses intense focused ultrasound energy to destroy targeted fat cells. Our patients report results between weeks 8 and 12. Results may not be visible to the eye but patients report a reduction in waistline noticeable through a better fit of clothing. Although most patients are satisfied after one treatment, it is not uncommon to re-treat the area for better results.

Answer: Tincture of time - patience after Liposonix I tell patients not to expect results from Liposonix for at least 10 - 12 weeks, so that's when we do our follow up visit and remeasure/photograph/weigh. At that time, we can treat again. Although noninvasive fat reduction devices like Liposonix and Coolsculpting were initially marketed as one time treatments, we now recognize that most patients require several sessions to get the results they want. So be patient and do follow up with your physician.

Answer: Liposonix results Many of the studies evaluating effectiveness of Liposonix show maximal results measured at 12 weeks after treatment. Results are seen well before that though in many cases. The short answer is you’ve still got some time to wait and see what your final outcome from the first treatment will be.It’s also nice to compare pre and post photographs and measurements. As mentioned previously, the improvement is generally subtle and it is nice to have some hard evidence regarding the improvement or lack thereof.

Answer: Liposonix Results The amount of improvement from Liposonix varies by the technique in which you were treated. For Liposonix to be effective the treatment area must reach 180 joules. This is achieved with stacked pulses. The most aggressive treatment would be 60 joules stacked 3 times to yield 180 joules. The least aggressive treatment would be 30 joules stacked 6 times to yield 180 joules. Both ways are effective but I find that the 60 joules treatment yields more reduction. It’s possible you have experienced a reduction but because it is gradual overtime it may not be noticeable to you. It’s important to go back to your treating Board Certified Dermatologist after 3 months to take after photos and compare. In my experience patients always get better, sometimes it’s not as much as a patient may be expecting and they may need an additional treatment for more improvement. For more information on Liposonix click link below:
