There’s a surgeon in Seattle that uses freeze dried cadaver fat, pig stem cells along with Sculptra to enhance the hip and butt. Is this mixture safe? He’s been using it on patients for over a year now and stating that it lasts longer than Sculptra alone. I have not found any other surgeon that uses this mixture. I had a failed bbl were the fat didn’t take and trying to look for other options to fill my hip dips and upper part of my butt.
Answer: Zombie BBL Hello. Of course, it's not safe. Only trust in the procedures approved by the FDA. The BBL uses the fat extracted from the patient's body because it is the most harmless substance to inject with no risk of rejection. Good luck.

Answer: Fat transfer Dear CRC 503, Fat transfer from cadaver is not a safe procedure and no board-certified plastic surgeon will do it. Fat viability depends a lot of surgeon technique. The fat has to be placed back into the buttocks as soon as possible so that it has a greater chance of survival. It has to be placed carefully so that not too much fat is placed in only one area. Answer: “Zombie BBL” safe...? Don’t always believe the hype or the “new thing”. Although I have never performed the “Zombie BBL”, many other surgeons have attempted to use the same products to enhance the buttock and hip areas but result in either gross failure and/or insignificant improvements. One thing that is a known fact is that live tissue (eg. fat) is much more likely to survive then dead and/or freeze dried tissue and/or artificial temporary fillers. If your BBL did not create a satisfactory result then this is highly unlikely to create one as well. The only thing different with this is that it will probably be much more expensive with much more of a disappointing result. The only proven, time tested, reliable, predictable, relatively safe and permanent surgical way to enhance the buttock and hips is with implants. Hope this helps.

Answer: Zombie BBL vs traditional BBL I have not performed this procedure, but I personally would not offer it to my patients until there has been FDA approval of those products in that combination for use in buttock enhancement. The bottom line is, the safety and efficacy of that combination of products is truly unknown. Your own living fat has the best possible safety profile and best retention for buttock enhancement, especially when performed by an ABPS certified, ASAPS member plastic surgeon.

Answer: Making intelligent medical decisions does what you describe sounds like a good idea? Did you even stop to consider that this provider is not a board-certified plastic surgeon and that no board-certified plastic surgeon offers such an idioti concoction of quack medicine? Because the law does not place restrictions on the practice of medicine it is not illegal for a physician to practice in appropriate medicine. Once you sign the consent form you’re pretty much responsible for your own decision making. Get real and consult with some local experienced board-certified plastic surgeons. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
