What’s my best option for skin tightening in neck? (Photos)

Question

I had a consultation with a plastic surgeon for a neck lift and he advised that I should be more conservative and do a SkinTyte series instead. He said if I still wanted more tightening I could then do Accutite. I have completed five SkinTyte treatments and do not see any difference. It’s been three months since the first treatment so maybe there will be improvement, but I’m doubtful because I’ve noticed no improvement so far. Should I bother with Accutite or is there a better surgical option?

I would complete the full SkinTite course and if you do not see any further improvement after 3-6 months I would recommend that you discuss your concerns with your surgeon and consider having a neck lift. I agree with your surgeon in that trying to get results from a more conservative approach is best. I do not think that AccuTite will help if the SkinTite did not help.

Hi our office has accutite/facetite and so far we really like it.   Was your Skin Tyte a completely external treatment?   I think there should be some outcome at 6 months but you may be a patient who just doesn't respond to this and instead additional treatments would be needed.  Switching to more invasive treatments like Accutite is definitely something to consider.  Necklifts and suture suspension at the same time as getting a facetite treatment may get you the results you are looking for.  Best Wishes!!

Getting liposuction along the jawline for definition and under the chin/neck followed by Facetite RF to tighten up the skin followed by Morpheus8 to resurface and tighten the skin even further would give amazing improvement and is easy to undergo with only a day or 2 downtime.

In my opinion, to delineate whether one needs surgery versus a non-invasive option, the status of the platysma muscles is the key. FaceTite  is a minimally invasive, non-surgical skin tightening treatment that uses radio frequency technology (RFAL) to rejuvenate and tone the skin on the face and small areas of the body from the inside out. Since, you already tried the SkinTyte and didn't see any results I would suggest using FaceTite in combination with Liposuction to get a more significant result.

If you don't mind the downtime and going under the knife getting this surgically taken care of will give you drastic results. You just have to weigh the pros and cons of what that entails. With surgery also comes many other possible complications.

A lower face and neck lift along with some internal tightening would be the gold standard for the kind of result that you desire. If you are ready for a neck lift surgery, including the scars and downtime it entails, that would likely yield the most significant result. However, many patients are not ready for the downtime presented by the more invasive surgery, and opt for a procedure that is more minimally invasive with less downtime. I often recommend liposuction of the neck/jowls to reduce fat in those areas (often small accumulations of fat will weight down the skin causing it to sag) in addition to FaceTite or AccuTite to help lift and tighten sagging tissues, and patients are often very pleased with this result. Please consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to be evaluated in person and to discuss these options.
