It looks bloody painful. I don’t want to use OTC meds after I have this done. They do nothing for me unless I have a small headache.
Answer: Narcotics not needed after threadlift Patients don’t typically complain of pain after PDO threadlift and I have never given prescription pain medication after such procedures. Some patients may experience minor discomfort, tightness and swelling after threadlifts and Tylenol and/ or ice pack are usually sufficient.

Answer: Great question! In our office this procedure is done until local anesthesia. There is almost no discomfort during the procedure. This is often surprising to patients but has a lot to do with a person's anatomy and proper technique. The threads are generally placed in the subcutaneous plane (below the dermis where most of the pain nerve fibers are!) so there is little discomfort. And if the procedure is performed by an experienced surgeon, with a good understanding of the tissues, the chances are greatly improved for very little discomfort in my opinion. There can be some swelling/brusing after the procedure and some pain that is generally easily treated with Tylenol. In our office we recommend Arnica and ice as well as a number of other methods to help decrease the incidence of bruising, swelling, and post procedure pain.If this is something you are considering I would recommend a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who is experienced with threading techniques.I hope this helps!

Answer: No Rx pain meds needed for PDO thread lift You will be amazingly pleasantly surprised what an easy recovery the thread lift is! Next to no bruising or pain medication needed at all. Occasionally a Tylenol or advil, but most patients don't even use that. Occasionally some will ice but most don't do that. It definitely looks worse on You Tube videos than you can expect in recovery.

Answer: Thread lifts Pain is much less after thread lifting than you would expect watching the procedure. Most soreness is around the mouth, and patient is advised to use ice packs if swelling or bruising occurs. I have never had to use prescription pain meds for this procedure.
