Can a PDO neck thread be corrected? (Photo)

Question

I am three days post-procedure with PDO threads in my neck. Almost immediately after the procedure, I noticed the laxity in my neck was reduced on my right side but increased on the left side. When I called the physician who did the procedure, she said it is due to swelling and if it is not resolved in two weeks she will dissolve the threads - leaving me with no results for my expenditure. Is this the only option? Is there a way to reduce the laxity on the left so that it matches the results on the right?

In this situation I believe that more threads are required. I would insert more threads under the chin and to the sides.

I would give it 10-14 days as well, but I would definitely add more threads to the more lax side in order to obtain better results.  Oftentimes, one side needs more threads than the other in order to create a similar result. Everyone is asymmetric and we often sleep on one side and sun more on one side causing increased laxity on one side; therefore, more threads may be needed to pull that lax skin into place.  In addition, if it did not "grab" like the other side did, it may just need to be placed in a more secure location.  Remember, with PDO threads, your body creates collagen in their place over 4-6 months time, so more threads do not hurt anything.

I agree that 2 weeks is the correct time to reassess the result. Even if a thread has to be removed, new threads could be added to that side to even it out.
