PDO threads... lost my smile

I would be so grateful to hear from anyone who can advise on how long it will be before I have a full range of expression back. I had the treatment just two days ago and it feels a little weird to not be able to smile - I feel like posh spice?! Which is a huge departure from the norm for me.. things still feel tender and I’m wanting to follow aftercare and avoid any further issues.. generally I’m content with the outcome. I don’t see a huge difference, but I no longer look quite so tired.

It can take a few days for the swelling to go down after a thread lift. The tightness will soften a bit after this. There can still be some tightness for up to 4 weeks, which is why routine dental work should be avoided for 4 weeks. The tenderness will improve over 7 days, but there can still be tenderness to touch for 4 weeks.
Most of my patients say at their 7 day review that the tightness is better but still tight, at 2 weeks they feel much more comfortable and feel like they are getting back to normal. Everybody is different in their recovery.

Soreness and tightness after a thread lift is expected, especially around the mouth. This should improve by 7 days post. I usually recommend a 2 week f/u to reassess the treatment. Your natural smile will loosen the threads over time, so not to worry.
