Kybella and facelift? (Photo)

Question

Hello, Im a 54 year old woman. I got PDO threads 7 months ago and they are already letting go. Super disappointing. I am in my ideal weight (120). It was recommended I get Kybella in the jowl and also submenu, but I also heard that no plastic surgeon would perform a face lift if someone has had Kybella. Is this true? I would not require much Kybella. I also dont know if I ever would get a face lift, but you never know. I dont want to take that off the table as a future option. thx!

The skin laxity in your photos would achieve a better result with tightening of the skin via a mini-facelift. I use Kybella but it is not indicated in your case. My experience with threads is the same as yours and we don't use them in my practice.

It is possible to do Facelift after Kybella. It can be more challenging because of the scar tissue but that is no different than doing a revision facelift or a facelift after patients had tightening laser treatments on the face.

From these photographs, you appear to be a good candidate for a face and neck lift procedure. This procedure accomplishes tightening loose facial and neck skin, tightening loose facial and neck muscles, lifting the jowls, and removing the fat compartments in the neck, located both above and below the platysma muscle in addition to a platysma plasty which significantly improves the jawline. We do not recommend Kybella anywhere in the face, especially not in the jowls. The jowls need to be lifted due to gravitational changes, and not injected with an inconsistent fat resorption drug
