I have a small fat pocket that is technically the bottom of my butt that connects to my inner thigh. The other lumps and bumps aside from the BBL. I really just want to get rid of this tiny fat pocket. Should I do kybella or lipo?? Or should I fill in some of the dents and folds with kybella? Or should I just work out my glutes and hope for the best?
Answer: Buttocks I would suggest using EMSculpt to help tone and build better gluteal muscles which will improve your shape. Once treated, then see if anything else needs attention. EMSculpt is not surgery and has no restrictions or downtime and reshapes the buttocks beautifully, especially in the lower areas.

Answer: Addressing Overfilled Fat Pockets: Exercise, Liposuction or Kybella? Hello Psychedelickitten. Thank you for your question regarding what to do with a doctor who overfilled the bottom of your butt cheek where you had a fold and can you use lipo or Kybella to get rid of that fat pocket? Thank you for your history and your picture. Based on what you want to achieve, I would highly suggest you workout to exercise and develop your glutes and quads. To build up the glutes and quads, the best exercises are squats and stairmaster. I would give that about six months. If you don’t do not achieve the results you wish, then I would consider surgical intervention. The surgical invention that I would suggest would be liposuction to remove fat. If you want to smooth out some of the indentations and folds, I would then consider additional fat transfer or BBL. I would not suggest Kybella. Kybella is not very controllable and is very difficult to isolate the fat you want a dissolve. Liposuction is much more accurate than Kybella in fat resorption. In addition, liposuction is much more predictable than Kybella. Also, Kybella hurts and leads to swelling. Kybella also requires at minimum three treatments. Therefore, my vote is for exercise and then if your results still aren’t there, consider liposuction and possibly, even repeat BBL to fill some of the dents and folds. I hope I’ve answered your question regarding how to correct where a doctor overfilled the bottom of your cheek where you had a fold and whether liposuction or Kybella can get rid of that fat pocket. Good luck. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

Answer: Overfilled BBL Hello! Unfortunately, that is a challenging problem to treat. I would not recommend Kybella anywhere near the butt as the results and fat resorption are unpredictable. Depending on the timeframe from the initial BBL, you can theoretically go back and use a small liposuction cannula to gently liposuction that area and then combine this procedure with a skin tightening modality (i.e. J-plasma, body tite, etc) to help tighten the skin after fat removal. May not be a perfect fix but definitely an improvement. Doing lower body squats and exercises will certainly help with the shape but that particular area may need a surgical intervention for better results.

Answer: BBL correction A small area of liposuction like the one that concerns you can often be addressed in an office surgical suite under local anesthesia. This should improve your results. I've included a video on Awake Liposuction that I hope you find helpful.

Answer: BBL results To make an assessment regarding the outcome of a plastic surgery procedure we always need to see a complete set of proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before and after pictures, then ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took. Your surgeon is also the right person to talk to regarding the outcome of your procedure. Fat removal can be done with Liposuction, but I do not recommend any other form of fat removal. Without knowing what you look like before your procedure, we can’t really make an assessment regarding a fat removal is appropriate, you candidacy for the procedure or what type of results you could’ve expected. I suggest you consider re-posting with proper before and after pictures, as well as following up with your provider. If you want a second opinion consultation, and I suggest you schedule those in person consultations with other providers in your community who have experience with the BBL procedure. For a second opinion consultations patient should come prepared bringing with them a complete set of before and after pictures and the copy of your operative report. They’re all available from your current providers office upon request. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
