Imommy makeover on 1/28/22 and the drains were removed to early. I then had to have new drain put in that again was removed to early and had to be manually drained. Around 5-6 months post op I noticed a hardened area above my belly button. I am working on trying to get revision but the dr I went to is having a hard time determining what this is. He is thinking it’s a seroma could I have one after this long? Sometimes it more swollen then others.It’s between the abdominal wall and skin that moves
Answer: Seroma? It could be a seroma but an exam is needed to know for sure. An ultrasound can be done to determine if it is fluid if a physical exam isn't conclusive. If it isn't a seroma it could be scar tissue or potentially a fatty pocket.
