70yo woman in good health. I had over the muscle saline implants replaced in 2000 going under the muscle. 475cc which is big for my build but looked very natural. Now, 24 yrs later, I have lost the expected volume, along with 10lb weight loss but implants remain soft and symmetrical. My worry: Do I have them replaced a final time, or risk failure when I am even older and then must have a procedure? Thank you

Answer: Breast revision Thank you for your questions. A large portion of my practice is dedicated to breast revision surgery, and I have been in practice for almost 30 years. It is very common for me to a operate on patients for breast revision well into their 70s. You appear to be in good physical activity and shape. It should be no problem for you. Best wishes to you.

Answer: Breast implants It’s a personal decision. If they are soft, no issues, can observe them until deflation or other concern. Usually, exchange of implants should be fairly simple procedure even at advanced age if healthy. Replacing them now still small risk of new scar tissue, capsule, etc. Further discussion with your/ a plastic surgeon is recommended.
