Is it possible to get lip fillers if I've got a lump from lip filler 3 years ago?

Thanks for your question. I am surprised you still might have product left in the lip if it was done 3 years ago. Most hyaluronic acid fillers don't last that long and are nice and soft and natural looking. I would see what the filler was, and plan on trying a very soft lip filler like Volbella, Belotero, or RHA2. Hopefully your injector has records of what was placed, and will use topical numbing cream and ice. Good luck!

Just because you developed a lump a few years ago, it does not mean the same thing will happen again. Development of lumps depends on 3 factors: 1. Type of filler used. There is a higher likelihood of developing lumps with thicker fillers. For this reason we try to use softer filers for lips. 2. Injector experience. This applies to all cosmetic procedures but it is even more important with lip injections. 3. Type of needle used. Bigger needles tend to release more fillers at a time, therefore increasing the chance of lump formation. For this reason I use micro-droplet technique using insulin syringes.
