Is it possible to get lip fillers if I've got a lump from lip filler 3 years ago?

I’m wanting to book in for my lips doing but I’m not sure if I can as I have a lump on my lip from the lip filler I had 3 years ago it occurred because I didn’t let her finish squeezing the lip filler around my lips as it was too painful because she didn’t use numbing cream

Thank you for your question and I appreciate your concern. Yes, it is certainly possible to have more filler even if you still have a lump from a previous treatment. I encourage you to schedule a consultation with a very experienced, board-certified injector for further evaluation. If the lump is residual filler, the filler can be dissolved using injections of an enzyme. This should probably be done before you have more filler placed. A qualified injector will have the expertise to know how to tailor your next treatment to ensure the best possible results for you.

Sometimes it is a good idea to dissolve the lump first then have the filler on a separate date. It is always wise to have a consultation first and be sure to have an advanced injector that is used to handling different situations. Lumps sometimes happen in lips if the product follows a lymphatic channel or pockets in area too close to surface, so it just depends on what your situation is.

Thanks for your question.  I am surprised you still might have product left in the lip if it was done 3 years ago.  Most hyaluronic acid fillers don't last that long and are nice and soft and natural looking.  I would see what the filler was, and plan on trying a very soft lip filler like Volbella, Belotero, or RHA2.  Hopefully your injector has records of what was placed, and will use topical numbing cream and ice.  Good luck!
