I was wondering, for the average person, can around 1000-1200 grafts be taken from the donor site without any noticeable thinning in the area?

1000-1200 grafts be taken from the donor site without any noticeable thinning in the area.  In general you can have well over 4000 without noticeable thinning.  This all depends on how short you keep your donor hair.

Removal of 1000-1200 grafts from the entire donor area should not lead to any noticeable thinning.  However, if someone takes out the same number of grafts from a very small area, I am afraid, it may lead to the same..

Thank you for the question. If we are discussing as a General question, then the answer should be, no there shouldn't be any noticeable thinning after 1000 to 1200 grafts harvested. This of course depends on the techniques being used, and the strength of the patients donor region in general. Hope this helps.

İt depends on density and surface area of the donor area . But we can say that usuallly we can harvest avarage between 2500 -3000 grafts in one session of FUE op . in an intact donor site without any thinning effect  .

In most circumstances, 1200 grafts won't lead to any discernible thinning in the donor area.  In fact, it's possible to get more than 6000 in the right person!  Don't overdo it though -- see an experienced hair surgeon in your area and get an in person consultation.  Good luck!

The average amount of hair in what appears to be a safe donor area can vary between 9500-12500 hairs. 1000 grafts with an average to 2.2 hairs per grafts will approximately lead to 20% loss of hair in the donor area. This should not result in visible thinning.
