Can I pluck eyebrows after upper lid blepharoplasty?

Generally you stay swollen for a while after eyelid surgery (months).  The brows will settle downward as you heal from eyelid surgery.  For this reason, you should wait about 2 months before having your eyebrows shaped.

I would allow you to manicure yourself the way you wish. If you should get a staph infection in the early period after your eyelid surgery, you will ask yourself “Why couldn’t I wait another week or so until the swelling of my eyelids really resolved a lot more?” Plucking your eyebrows can contribute to some of your peri-orbital swelling and you may just want to wait.

However if you want to do any significant shaping of the brow, you should wait longer since you may still have some swelling which will alter the hairs you may want to pull. 

Every surgeon is different with regard to his / her postoperative plans. It will probably be fine to pluck the eyebrow hairs at 8 weeks postop, but you should make sure that you check with your surgeon first.

Your surgeon should give you the official ok for plucking your eyebrows.  However, in general you should be ok at this point.  Just continue to be careful not to pull at the incision while you do it. For that reason, I have my patients wait for 8 weeks prior to waxing, which pulls on the skin more.
