I went for a lip lift 7 days ago and have had my sutures out and I am not prepared how it made me nose look different. Either he removed too much skin or something but my nostrils and nose is huge... Please advise me I am scared I have ruined my face
Answer: What is happening to my nose after a lip lift.? It is too early to judge your results. Give it at lease six weeks as things could look very different. If you think your nostrils are too visible after that six weeks you can ask your surgeon for a possible revision.

Answer: Lip lift nose postop Postoperatively, after a lip lift, you can anticipate bruising and swelling that will be noticeable to you and others for about 1 week. After the sutures are removed or dissolve, depending on the type used, there will be redness along the incision line for 4-6 weeks but this can be covered with makeup. Sometimes the upper lip lift is overcorrected with the initial procedure and will slowly assume its final position over weeks to months. It is possible for a lip lift to alter the nasal anatomy, especially if the incisions are made into the nostrils, violating the nasolabial junction. It is also possible that your nose looks different based on the angles that the photo was taken at. Consult with an experienced lip surgeon for a complete range of options that are appropriate for your situation. Best of luck. Gary Linkov, MD

Answer: Lip Lift recovery Good day! Thank you for providing photos with your query. It is too soon to see final results because swelling after a lift lip persists for 1-2 weeks and tightness will diminish within a few months. Do not hesitate to ask your doctor about your concern or any additional aftercare instructions. Best of luck! #RealSelf100

Answer: Swelling after #LipLift Hi @BrigetteLAThis appears to be normal postoperative swelling. The swelling peaks at 3 days and 80% is gone by 2 weeks. Each day you should look better and better. Keep a low salt and low carbohydrate diet and drink plenty of water. At two weeks you may also want to start a lymphatic massage to reduce swelling.Best of Luck,

Answer: Lip Lift affected the shape of your nose Hi there and thank you for your Question and the helpful photos. It appears to be a very early stage after surgery. Inflammatory Reaction is the second stage of every wound healing cycle. It is a natural part of the healing process that is accompanied with redness and swelling. The swelling can also affect adjacent tissue, which might be the reason, why the shape of your nose has changed. Discuss with your doctor the application of an ointment twice a day on your scar. This will reduce the surface tension and hereby accelerate healing and improve overall scar appearance. Good luck!
