How many insertion holes are needed per Kybella vial? (photos)

Question

I got Kybella from MedSpa for my double chin and alsoho to slim down my round face. my aesthetician nurse was nice but very pushy, said I was fat and I need at least 3 visits with 3 vials of Kybella each. I agreed and purchased them all at once to get a deal on it. However, I have a feeling that I got ripped off bc she did not use the grid dots under my chin, I have around 16 holes from the needles, but that seems to be soo little for vials of Kybella

Everyone has a different fat pattern so we don’t use the dots on everyone and it does take a lot of get results from kybella but liposuction works the best and is permanent. Kybella isn’t always permanent.

You are correct in that injecting KyBella recommends use of injecting pattern to inject multiple sites about 0.5 cm apart. Appears you had a generic product injected w/o patterned injections. The ethics of the MedSpa and injecting nurse are to be questioned.

The grid pattern style of injecting is the recommendation from the manufacture. Each provider can inject the medication in a manner that works for them.
The goal is generally to get the medication as diffusely distributed with even concentration throughout the fat layer adding slightly more medication where the fat layer is thicker. however that’s achieved is up to the provider.
Personally I’m not a fan of it this form of fat removal. I find it inferior to Liposuction by every measurable standard.
I also would recommend against treatment and anything but the FDA approved an atomic area which is the chin/neck. The fat destroying properties of the medication can strip the fatty covering of nerves giving temporary facial nerve paralysis.
Facial volume is also very important to not reduce because in facial aging volume depletion is a major reason people look older.
I recommend patients interested in having facial aesthetic procedures have in person consultations with multiple board-certified plastic surgeons in your community before committing to treatment.During each consultation ask each provider to show you their entire collection of before and after pictures of the treatment you’re interested in.
Ask specifically to see examples of patients who have similar facial characteristics to your own to get a good and accurate representation of what you can expect.
Experience providers should have no difficulty showing you at least 50 that’s a before and after pictures of commonly performed procedures whether done through injection or with surgery.
Considering that fat removal is permanent and irreversible staying on the cautious side is probably not a bad idea.
