"Pixie" earlobe repair after facelift?

Question

I had a facelift 1 year ago. I am very unhappy with my earlobes. One earlobe is mildly “pixie” looking and the other earlobe the scar pulled away from the natural crease of my ealobe. I believe there was too much tension in this area I currently have no loose skin so do I need to wait for my skin to relax before fixing? Also I have moved from where I originally had surgery and my surgeon retired so I am looking forward a FL revision specialist in the Pittsburgh area. Thank you

If you have recovered from your facelift then an earlobe repair may be performed to reshape your lobes to give them a more natural looking contour. Generally, this can be done under local anesthesia in your surgeon’s office.

Unfortunately this is all too common.  Fixing this requires basically redoing most of the facelift.  You'll need to undermine and resuspend the skin both around and at the earlobe itself.  Offloading tension with deep SMAS plication or resuspension is also necessary.

Pixie ears are not uncommon following a facelift. They are pretty simple to correct  if the surgeon knows how.

A full set of facial photographs with your hair pulled up demonstrating your issues would be helpful to understand what can and cannot be accomplished. In most cases, the pixiie earlobe can be performed under local anesthesia as a standalone procedure. If you have extensive scarring, that may require a mini lift to be able to remove the old scars.
