I had a septoplasty 2 years ago. I would like to get a septum piercing... would this be ok? I know my surgeon was against them in general, but I am more concerned with the real likelihood of damage based on the piercing being done correctly. Thanks!

If is has been 2 years, you certainly are healed from your septoplasty. If a piercing is your thing, go for it. Best Dr S
