I had a septoplasty 2 years ago. I would like to get a septum piercing... would this be ok? I know my surgeon was against them in general, but I am more concerned with the real likelihood of damage based on the piercing being done correctly. Thanks!

The usual success rate is more than 90% but the key is proper diagnosis. If the nasal obstruction is from allergies or other factors and not from deviated septum then it will fail. RegardsDr. Janjua
