I know it takes a year + to see final results, but it's been 8 months and my nose looks like this since 4 months post op. I had one side shaved down a little to match the other and nothing else touched. I had one steroid injection done as well. I still see that there is swelling but the side that has been shaved is the one sagging. I addressed my concerns to my surgeon but he said we'll see in 3 months. Is this normal or does it look like I'll need revision done later on? Thank you.

After a septoplasty is done it is to be expected that the columella and base of the nose will remain swollen for quite some time. With time gravity pulls the swelling down to the lower parts, and these are the last to go down. Also if the rest of the nose was not operated on (no rhinoplasty was...
Hi shanay225,
I do not recommend smoking after your nasal surgery. It may delay your wound healing and may cause complications that could be avoided. I would consult your surgeon to discuss his/her preferences.
