Dark skin after lipo, when will it go away? (Photo)

Question

I have this dark patch of skin after my TT and lipo. I did have lots of bruising and originally thought it was a bruise. Now that the bruising is gone this dark skin is still there. Does anyone know what it is and if it will go away.

hello girlie38  Patient’s scars will mature following surgery; they may be red or raised for the first few months, but after 6–12 months they will soften, lighten, and become less noticeable. Laser treatments available at the Pacific Center for Plastic Surgery can quicken the healing of scars and reduce them significantly.
