And maybe legs not sure but I'm on medicade will it pay for cool sculping I know it will pay for skin removal please let me know asap id rather do that than more sureries thank you

Dear Anitamay, Congratulations on the weight loss! Cool sculpting is not going to be an option for excess skin as it's FDA clearance is only for the reduction of fat. You would most likely benefit from a board certified plastic surgeon doing an assessment for skin removal. Best of luck.

Hi, unfortunately CoolSculpting only aims at fat cells and does not have any skin tightening results. The optimal treatment for post-bariatric patients is surgical removal of skin which can be combined with liposuction in areas of persisting fat. You should consult with a board certified plastic surgeon in order to understand your options and limitations. I understand that going through another surgery does not sound appealing right now, but it is the only treatment that, when properly performed, will give you the desired outcome.

Hi anitamay.  Unfortunately, Coolsculpting is not the correct treatment for skin removal and is not reimbursable through third party payers.  If you are experiencing medical problems from the extra skin, you have a better chance of coverage--any extra fat in the areas can be removed at the time of surgery.  Best wishes,

Great question. Coolsculpting works great for the stubborn fat, but for loose skin it will not do anything. Also medicaid will not pay for coolsculpting.

No, Coolsculpting is good for removing stubborn areas of fat, but lacks skin tightening and/or removal. A skin removal procedure could be performed at the same time as hi definition liposuction. For best results, I recommend VASER HI DEF which can be combined with ThermiRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal and skin tightening. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a body shaping expert. CoolSculpting and skin removal treat different conditions.  CoolSculpting is used to reduce isolated areas of unwanted fat, but it will not tighten the skin.  Skin removal by surgery will tighten the skin and fat removal can be done at the same time, if needed.
