Will 485cc be too big for my frame? (Photo)

The choice of implant size/volume is a decision which is best made in concert with your board certified plastic surgeons. There are a number of factors which play into the decision including patient desire and chest measurements. Ultimately, your surgeon, based upon his/her exam will be able to guide a prospective patient toward reasonable options.
There are a number of tools available to help a patient make decisions with range offered by their surgeon including sizers, goal photos and 3D imaging. However, it is important to realize that these are "guides" and not "guarantees." They are meant to offer a patient a reasonable estimate on which to make decisions.
3D imaging has become an effective tool for discussing options for patients and narrowing down choices. However, it is important to remember that the imaging is only a simulation. There is no substitute for the experience of a board certified plastic surgeon.
It is vitally important to spend time discussing the results of your imaging consultation with your surgeon. As this will help clarify your goals/expectations and guide your surgeon in adjusting those expectations as needed.

While computer imaging can be helpful, it’s recommended that you try on sizers as well. These are implants you fit into your bra to see how you may feel and look with your predicted results.

I think this will be big for you, but it depend on the result that you are looking for, if you ask me, I prefer 405 cc.

breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small.You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.

Implant size discussion and implant selection is one of the most important steps during your consultation with plastic surgeon. The decision-making process depends on patient’s desires, as well as breast and soft tissue dimensions.

485cc size implant is typically considered large for somebody your frame and will likely give you a full D/DD results.

I suggest that you seek an in person consultation with a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon in order to discuss your goals and concerns for the best cosmetic results. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.

Thanks for your question! Without knowing your measurements, height, weight, etc., it's going to be difficult to give you an accurate answer. However, if you like/trust your surgeon and you like the photos, you will hopefully be happy with your end result! My gut says that is a lot on your petite frame, but it's difficult to assess with photos alone. Good luck!

After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size breast implants. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon' s experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what is right for them. I highly recommend using tissue based planning to help select the appropriate size implant. This is much like sizing a shoe...the breast dimensions select the appropriate range of implants that the breast can properly accommodate. Based on the appearance of your native breasts, I believe that 485 SSF will create a very large implant mound on your very small frame. SSF implants (soft touch full profile) create a very augmented look because they have a much higher projection off the chest wall for a narrower width.

Hi! Excellent question and photos. Computer imaging and simulations have come a long way but it is still just an image and it’s not always as accurate as we would like. I believe 485 might be too big. Living with very large implants isn’t easy for everyone. Laying on your stomach for example might be a challenge with 485cc. If you feel your breasts are still not as big as you would like, it is easier to go bigger for your second round then it is to go smaller. Getting smaller implants means getting more scars to make sure there is no excess skin.

I think that anything around 400cc would look very nice and certainly big enough for you frame.

Unfortunately without a thorough discussion of your goal outcomes, and without key breast measurements, it is difficult to comment on the best style, profile, and size of implant. I would continue to work with your surgeon to ensure the implants you select are best for your anatomy and you may want to "try-on" sizers in your surgeon's office to get a visual representation of the size on you.
