Typically, significant weight loss can cause the breasts to sag. They may also become smaller. However, this not guaranteed. As a result, it would be difficult to predict how weight loss would affect your breasts.

With a 50lb weight loss, you should expect a significant change in the breast size. The implant volume is fixed, but the surrounding breast tissue will decrease and change the size of the breasts in general. As far as perkier, that is not usually the case post weight loss - the weight loss often causes the breasts to appear saggier since the decreased volume can lead to looser skin. Thank you for your question. Breast implants are not affected by weight changes. They stay the same, but everything around them can and does change. Everything depends on everything. The details of your implants are important, so is the technique used in your surgery. For most patients, a fifty pound weight loss is very noticeable. I would advise you to reach your desired weight and stay there for a while (weight fluctuations are not uncommon). Once you're happy with your body, we can refine the breast volume and shape to match you body and desires. In some cases, not much is needed, in other cases, a breast lift and implant change is advisable.

Your implants will not change, but your breasts may. If you have extra fat in your breasts from weight gain, you will lose the fat and may have sagging skin. Once you reach your weight goal, you can discuss your options for your breasts if you are unhappy with the changes.

Some patients notice changes in their breast size with weight gain or loss, while others do not. If you are one who does you can expect that your natural tissue will decrease with weight loss while the implant volume obviously will stay the same. If you have good skin elasticity you may not notice much difference other than smaller breasts. However with a 50 lb weight loss it would not be unusual to have some looseness of the skin. Being at a healthy weight is encouraged. Any sagging can be addressed with a lift if needed.
