I feel like my vagina just hangs, I was looking into getting labiaplasty done but was wondering if a tummy tuck would help

Answer: Vagina or mons? It's important to clarify the terms to know what you mean. The vagina refers to the canal between the external genitalia (between the inner labia) and the cervix (inside), not something you see from the outside to lift. What I think you are referring to instead is the mons pubis, which is the tissue over your pubic area. The mons pubis can look droopy, and can be lifted at the time of a tummy tuck. If you don't need a tummy tuck, a monsplasty can also be done separately, which would basically involve lifting the area with an incision similar to a tummy tuck (though shorter), +/- lipo if there is excessive fat here.

Answer: Vaginal lift post tummy tuck I think what you are referring to is the pubic area or fat/skin laxity. The vagina is an internal structure. A poorly designed tummy tuck can mechanically overstretch the upper labial area and clitoris/clitoral hood. A mons-plasty without relying on the tummy tuck scar tension is usually done at the same time for some of my tummy tuck patients at the same surgery. This ensures that the labia/pubic area look normal and not over-stretched. If you have labia minora stretching or excess tissue, that can also be done at the same time as well.

I would start with a tummy tuck maybe undergo some liposuction of the Mons area and see the effects and then decide if you need a formal labia plasty or not.

Tummy tuck is an excellent method for shaping the belly and create a flatter and sculpted abdomen after the procedure. It sounds like you would be an excellent candidate for the full tummy tuck procedure in order to remove the excess skin/soft tissue of your lower abdomen and contour the areas of your belly. Also, abdominal wall tightening may optimize your result. Stretch marks to the level of your umbilicus will also be excised. I would highly recommend continueddiet and exercise prior to any consideration for body contouring as getting down to your ideal weight prior to the procedure will certainly give you the best results. Also, a continued healthy and active lifestyle will be needed in order to maintain the benefits that the procedure has given to you. while excess tissue of the mons/pubis area may be raised and extra tissue removed, the TT will not address the actual labia. A separate procedure to rejuvenate the labia is necessary, as during a labiaplasty. Consult with a plastic surgeon to discuss the various options and what would be the best method to meet your goals.
