Non-surgical nose job with permanent filler or fat transfer? (Photo)

I’m actually pretty happy with my nose for the most part and would just like to make it look straighter.I feel after all the contact sports I have done it has possiably resulted in this bump. I don’t want to have surgery on my nose but I want a long lasting option that lasts at least 5 years. I also thought that with fat transfer I could use that fat to help with some rolling acne scars.

Hi and thanks for your question. From your photos, I think that you are a great candidate for Bellafill Permanent Non Surgical Rhinoplasty.  The goal would be to make your nose perfectly straight and camouflaging your small bump would be a breeze. Bellafill is a safe and effective filler that is applied over several sessions to achieve the final result. Bellafill is not reversible and does not get dissolved by the body, so it lasts for many years, or, with many people, the rest of their lives. It is generally not a good idea to have rhinoplasty surgery after Bellafill injection, so I recommend people use this filler only when they are certain that they will never get surgery.
Acne scars can be improved with either fillers or fat transfer. Both methods work, but in my opinion, Bellafill is the easier option. I recommend getting a formal consultation to discuss the best treatment options for your scarring.

I don't recommend permanent fillers for non-surgical nosejobs. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to go over your desired results. Facial fillers (voluma, restylane, juvederm) can be used to improve the symmetry of the nose. Surgery would be needed to improve nostrils or overall shape. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

I would agree and reiterate what has already been said.  I would not recommend any type or permanent filler in this region, and fat transfer is not used for the nose.  Hyaluronic acid based fillers such as Juvederm or Restylane are your best bet and while they may not last 5 years, they are an easy treatment that can be repeated every year or two as necessary.

Please, please, please do not pursue treatment with a permanent or long lasting filler. They are fraught with complications and the risks do not justify the potential benefit. Fat injections are not frequently performed to the nose. I think the best option is a hyaluronic acid filler. I prefer Restylane due to its long term safety and good lifting results.

There is no permanent solution or permanent filler which is safe.  You also do not want to inject something like that in one of the most dangerous places on the face, which is your nose.  Your best options are keep doing dermal filler injections which may last 1-2 years or my least favorite one, is to consider silicone injections, but you need to find someone who is good at it and knows how the material works.
