My skin is not at all elastic, will my nose be sagging after nose tip filler disappears? 1 week post op HA injection.

Hi and thanks for your question. Your tip will not droop when the filler is absorbed. HA gets absorbed by the body gradually, returning the site of injection back to its previous state. Because it goes away slowly, the skin has plenty of time to contract, even in someone with elasticity issues. Hope that helps!

Many times, people will consult us for rhinoplasty surgery who have had previous HA nasal injections. Since we like to see the nose back at baseline before surgery, we may recommend that somebody have their filler dissolved with the enzyme. Hi Rennie F, Since we are using leftover filler, the added volume shouldn't be too much. What you are perceiving as a bigger nose might just be a lot of inflammation. Your nose won't probably droop because of the addeed filler. However, as aging progresses, noses do have a tendency to go south. As for skin elasticity, the fillers will dissolve slowly over time and the skin of your nose can adapt.All the best, Justin Harper, M.D.
