I had tumescent lipo of abdomen 2 days ago. 450cc taken out. I'm 116 & lbs 5'5. I have no drainage from wounds. Any suggestion?

Hi Nemo237. It is early to make a call-no drainage doesn't indicate a problem or insufficient removal. In the meanwhile, be sure to follow postoperative instructions on activity restrictions, massage, and wear your compression garment so that the skin shapes down and around the space where the fat used to be. Hang in there, the results are coming!

450 cc of fat is virtually nothing in terms of liposuction volume on the abdomen. It takes 6 months to see the results, although I suspect your will be minimal.

In liposuction, taking out too much or too little are both problematic; there's no "right" amount to take out; It is an art and a science so I wouldn't worry too much about the numbers.You are a small person with a relatively low BMI so taking out only 450 cc may be the right amount to take out. You will know more within about 6 weeks. If needed, you can always take more out; better to "undercook the cake" than the other way around.Be patient. 2 days is WAY too soon to worry.Good luck!

Some patients will even be larger right after liposuction than before liposuction.The space where the fat was has not gone away yet. At this point, you have a lot of swelling, and it will take time to get your final results.Expect to see improvements in three to four weeks and final results in about three to six months.Talk to your plastic surgeon. Stay cool,way too early for worrying.Give things at least a couple of months and see what you look like then.No drainage is usually a good thing

Without pictures, it may be difficult to give you an opinion. Generally, 2 days is way too early to judge on your result. It may take you 6-8 weeks to appreciate the outcome. 

Since you are only 2 days post op, you should expect swelling.  Continue wearing your compression garment, and address your concerns to your surgeon, as he is monitoring your healing.  Best wishes!
