There is absolutely no reason to use titanium a foreign substance in the nose. The nasal valve can be opened as I have done for 35 years using cartilage which will last your lifetime and have no foreign body reaction. See a very experienced rhinoplasty surgeon and avoid titanium.

 In general, I would space out any type of elective surgery by 3 months to allow for maximum wound healing from any previous surgery.
