Do I need a lower body lift? (Photo)

Question

40 year old mother of two, had gastric sleeve in 2016 and lost a total of 150lbs. Had arm lift and thigh lift in 2019..still unhappy about my thighs. Do I need a Lower body lift, will this help with my thighs as well. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks !

Hello and thank you for your question regarding whether you need a lower body lift. Thank you for your history and your pictures.

The simple answer is yes, you would definitely benefit from a 360 circumferential lower body lift. During a 360 circumferential lower body lift, you get an extended tummy tuck, hip lift, buttock lift, lateral thigh lift, mons or pubic lift and reduction, rectus diastasis or muscle repair, and relocation of your belly button. The end result will be a flat or concave abdomen, a lifted and reduced pubic region, and lifting of the lateral thighs. Also, the wrinkles on the butt should disappear.

In your case, special emphasis should be placed on the lateral thigh lift where the excess skin and fat left over from the medial thigh lift can be corrected. It should be noted that the medial thigh lift usually does not correct the lateral or outer thigh. The outer thigh is best corrected with the 360 circumferential lower body lift.

Thank you for your photos. The areas of loose skin extends all the way around your body, is on your lateral thighs and has caused buttocks ptosis.  While an abdominoplasty would correct your front and a part of your sides, you would be left with incomplete correction. A lower body lift would allow resection of all of the areas of loose tissue and would result in a flatter, smoother abdomen, tighter sides, smoother lateral thighs, and lifted and reshape buttocks. If you would like to have the best, most complete result, a lower body lift would be your best choice.

A thigh lift is a procedure that should be performed after abdominoplasty. This is because abdominoplasty often results in some degree of improvement in the thighs. Performing a thigh lift while there is still sagging in the lower abdomen may compromise its success. 
To address your concerns, a 360-degree abdominoplasty would be the most effective option, as it can also improve deformities in the thighs.

I think the best thing for contour would be a lower body lift or belt lipectomy. Only an in person physical exam would be able to determine which would be best. The difference really lies in the undermining of the thighs and the pulling on the lower body. If this produces a robust correction on physical exam, it is worth doing. However, if this does not, a belt lipectomy, in which the thigh tissue is not undermined and the scar is slightly more superiorly positioned, is likely the best answer.

Hello; 68 kilograms; that's a lot of weight loss. Gaining too much weight; afterwards, she lost a lot of weight and this; in patients with gastric surgery; the skin, unfortunately, is too loose. From the first stretching surgery; in 1-2 years, they will need for stretching again. You also; there is a similar situation. Your legs; again, need for an inner thigh lift treatment. In order to tighten your waist and hip areas; lateral thighlift is required or both your stomach and for tightening the waist and hip fields; I recommend for doing 360 bodylift.

Thanks for your inquiry and pictures.  A circumferential excision of skin and muscle repair are good choices for you to pursue.  The lateral thigh will improve with a body lift but the medial thigh (inner thigh) will be mostly unchanged.

based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. Flanks liposuction would give you a better shape. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
