If you are planning to get pregnant I would suggest waiting till after to do liposuction and/or if you have the need for skin removal surgery.  However, the liposuciton procedure itself will have no baring on your ability to get pregnant after the procedure.  Best, Dr. Emer.

By itself, smart lipo should not interfere with pregnancy as only fat under the skin is addressed. A person's overall response to surgery may vary, especially in large or long cases under general anesthesia, which may affect hormones, cycles, etc temporarily.Discussion with your plastic surgeon is recommended.

Surgery of any type can cause a surge of stress hormones which might throw your ovulation off schedule by a few weeks. Other than that, lipo does not affect fertility and does not leave any lingering effects on your growing baby if you manage to get pregnant.
