Can I have Rhinoplasty before jaw correction?

Overall, it would be better if you have your jaw surgery first so that the nose can be  harmonized with the jaws better. However, your nose surgery can be done first if you are having a lower jaw surgery only. Upper jaw surgery can change the nose significantly it will not be ideal to have the upper jaw surgery after a rhinoplasty.

The appearance of side view (profile) of the nose is effected by the position of the jaw significantly. If you are doing the rhinoplasty primarily for the profile and a dorsal nasal hump then you should wait to the the jaw surgery first. If the rhinoplasty is more for the large tip then you can do it before the jaw surgery. RegardsDr. J

If you are having your  upper jaw moved then the nose tip will be rotated up or down and you should have the nose surgery after or at the same time as the jaw surgery. If you are only operating on the lower jaw then the nose won't be changed by the jaw surgery. Be cautious because there is an optical illusion that a smaller jaw makes a nose look bigger and a larger jaw makes a nose look smaller. Talk to your oral surgeon before you do anything.

Jaw surgery is performed as an inpatient procedure in a hospital setting, while a rhinoplasty is performed as an outpatient procedure. If you are performing upper jaw surgery, then that should probably be accomplished first, prior to the rhinoplasty. If you are performing lower jaw surgery only, then it doesn't matter which comes first the rhinoplasty or the jaw surgery.
