I'm looking to get tumescent lipo done on my stomach and back, but I can't take off of work for a long period of time. I do have an office job that requires long periods of sitting. I also don't have anyone to take care of me after surgery. Is this option even realistic for me?
Answer: Going Back to Work After Liposuction I tell my patients they will usually be able to go back to work within a few days depending on the type of work, and how they feel. Everyone heals at a different rate. After being under general anesthesia you will need someone to stay with you for the first 24 hours as you will be woozy and could fall. Check with your surgeon for someone to stay with you. Good luck.

Answer: How quickly can someone go back to work after getting Tumescent liposuction? Hello. Great question. For liposuction of the abdomen and back it may require at least one weeks off. Post op recovery varies from patient to patient, also by surgeon. Please schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon for a detailed surgical plan to achieve your desired results.

Answer: Liposuction Thanks for the question. It’s too early to comment over the result. First couple of weeks after the surgery you can back to work and couple of weeks later your permanent recovery will start. It’s possible to see some major changes in Liposuction results till the end of 12 months recovery. I wish you all the best

Answer: Surgery You will need someone with you the first day and night of surgery. There are nursing agencies with nurses available to tend to you at home if needed. Your surgeon may have a list of these agencies. Many patients can return to work after a few days.

Answer: How quickly... Nothing substitutes for good judgement when planning to undergo surgery, in order to optimize results and optimize the surgical experience. For liposuction of two major body sites, I encourage patients to plan a week out of the office, though many patients are on their phones and computers and doing some work within days. The truth is few patients really can take a full week away from their careers. But it is also true that you cannot expect to be making good judgements while on pain pills, and most people don't have simple 9-5 days. Most of my patients have complex personal and professional obligations that translate into 12-14 hour days or longer, and it is not reasonable to assume that you can go back to these obligations right after surgery. As noted by my colleagues, it is also necessary to have a responsible adult with you for a day after surgery, though nursing agencies are an option. I suggest that you defer considering surgery until your obligations will permit appropriate recovery. You may also want to consider a consultation with a BCPS to discuss non surgical body contouring, like coolsculpting, which does not necessitate any real down time. Best of luck.
